— Paddock to Reef Integrated Monitoring, Modelling and Reporting Program
(September 2022 — September 2026)
The Paddock to Reef Integrated Monitoring, Modelling and Reporting Program (Paddock to Reef program) provides the framework for evaluating and reporting progress towards Reef 2050 Water Quality Improvement Plan (Reef 2050 WQIP) targets through the Reef Water Quality Report Card.
The program brings together more than 20 industry bodies, government agencies, Natural Resource Management bodies, landholders and research organisations—working together to measure and report on water quality factors that impact Reef health.
It is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments.
Monitoring and modelling occurs across a range of attributes, from paddock scale through to sub-catchment, catchment, regional and Great Barrier Reef-wide.
Further information is available on the Queensland Government website here.

FORUMS
SCIENCE FORUMS: Annual forums are held to bring together local grazing extension officers, government and science representatives to discuss the implementation of the P2R program in the Burdekin region.
They’re an opportunity for extension staff and industry representatives to hear about the latest science and discuss the future direction of regional water quality projects in the region.
